What personal data is collected and why?

It is possible to contact me via the contact form. When visitors use the contact form, the data shown in the form will be collected, together with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Cookies

A cookie is a small text file placed on your computer when you visit my website. The cookies are used to improve the visitors experience and track visitor activity using Google Analytics. You can opt-out and remove cookies via the browser settings. Consult the browser help function to find out how.

Google Analytics

I use Google Analytics to see how many visitors my website has, where they come from, and what they search for. I use the statistics to map the visitor and click behavior on my website. The information can be used for optimizing my website, as well. You IP-address is anonymized, and no information is send to third parties. More information can be found here.

Google Web Fonts

For uniform representation of fonts, this page uses web fonts provided by Google. When you open a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache to display texts and fonts correctly.

For this purpose your browser has to establish a direct connection to Google servers. Google thus becomes aware that our web page was accessed via your IP address. The use of Google Web fonts is done in the interest of a uniform and attractive presentation of our plugin. This constitutes a justified interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO.

If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font is used by your computer.

How long is your data retained?

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. Google Analytics will be store your data for 14 months after your last visit.

What rights you have over your data?

If you have used the contact form, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that any personal data we hold about you will be erased. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data?

Visitor contact message may be checked through an automated spam detection service sponsored by Google.  Their privacy policy can be found here.

This Privacy Policy might change from time to time and without notice.  There will always be a timestamp detailing when the last changes were made.
